Celebrate the scent of our Canadian Women’s National Soccer team HERO and GOAT through this “Christine Sinclair” Air Freshener!

“Why do I have to be lemon?” said legend Christine Sinclair while passing a rotating display rack in the shop at 360 Soccer Centre in Vaughan. The rack featured a range of air fresheners modelled after some of the world’s biggest soccer stars, including a lemon-scented version of Sinclair.

My team had just wrapped up an eight-hour day shooting our Official Match Ball Carrier Cup team, packed with interviews, headshots, and a surprise locker reveal with Christine. We kept the social concept, “A Letter to My Younger Self” in our back pocket in case we were blessed with extra time later in the day, following earlier discussions with her agents about bringing this letter from Christine’s youth to life. When we were gifted that time, and knowing Christine had prepared her own letter, we knew it was the right moment.

We had her write key phrases from her letter on a piece of paper and filmed her reading it in a single take. It was pretty special to see her get emotional towards the end.
